Established in 1968, the Armagh Observatory & Planetarium has continuously embraced cutting-edge technology to provide an immersive and educational experience.
Our team had the privilege of working on multiple areas within the Armagh Observatory & Planetarium, including the reception, cafe, exhibition spaces, meeting and events rooms, library, boardroom, and exterior areas. The objective was to create a seamless and captivating environment that aligns with the planetarium's mission of engaging and educating visitors about the wonders of space.
We transformed the planetarium's displays into captivating and informative experiences by implementing state-of-the-art visual technology. Visitors can now enjoy stunning visuals, realistic simulations, and immersive graphics that bring celestial bodies and astronomical phenomena to life. A high-quality audio system was installed to ensure crystal-clear sound reproduction, adding depth and realism to the educational content. Strategic lighting design played a crucial role in creating the desired atmosphere and highlighting key areas within the planetarium.

To meet the Errigle Inn's desire for an advanced audio-visual system that efficiently utilises diverse content sources with unmatched flexibility, Rea Sound collaborated closely with the venue. They implemented a cutting-edge audio-visual system. This allowed seamless integration of HDMI and audio inputs for each zone and display, maximizing content options from various sources like Sky Boxes, Freeview boxes, HDMI computer sources, Quiz Nights, and live bands and cameras.
The meticulous installation by Rea Sound ensured optimal functionality and user-friendliness. The powerful control interface seamlessly integrated into the venue's infrastructure, featuring an intuitive app with visually appealing design. Operators could easily switch between content sources using detailed floor plans and screen locations.
The implemented system empowered operators to curate tailored multimedia experiences with control over source selection and channels. The user-friendly app interface provided predetermined channels and standard remote-control functions, enabling effortless management of the system.
With the integration of the Kramer control and Allen & Heath Custom Control the comprehensive audio-visual system, the Errigle Inn gained versatility, captivating guests with strategically placed displays in the roof garden. The intuitive control interface simplified operations, allowing even novice operators to manage the system effortlessly.

First Derry Presbyterian Church embarked on a partnership with Rea Sound to undergo an audio-visual upgrade. The aim was to enhance the church's visual system and audio experience, delivering superior quality for worship services. This case study showcases the successful implementation of a comprehensive AV solution that included multiple displays, cameras, and high-end audio equipment.
Outdated audio and visual systems presented challenges to the worship experience at First Derry Presbyterian Church. The objective was to modernise the facilities while preserving the sacred space's integrity, enabling seamless video integration, improved visual projection, and superior audio quality.
Rea Sound introduced a high-end line array system featuring Martin Audio O-Line speakers and CDD5 balcony underfill. This solution delivered exceptional audio quality, ensuring clarity and immersion for all attendees. The integration of an Allen & Heath SQ7 digital audio console provided precise control, advanced features, user-friendliness, and automation, enhancing the overall audio experience.
To enhance the visual experience, we implemented a state-of-the-art full HD visual system that incorporated multiple displays, bright projectors, PTZ cameras, and a Roland V8-HD video mixer. This resulted in visually stunning presentations and high-quality streaming and recording of services. The solution not only enhanced the in-church experience but also enabled remote engagement, benefiting both attendees and those unable to physically attend.
The AV upgrade extended to the church hall, ensuring a consistent and immersive experience for overflow attendees. A seamless full HD link from the church provided a comprehensive AV solution that complemented the main sanctuary.
Rea Sound provided comprehensive training and ongoing support to the First Derry Presbyterian Church team, equipping them with the necessary skills to seamlessly operate the new equipment during services and events.
Through the partnership with Rea Sound, First Derry Presbyterian Church achieved a transformative worship experience through advanced AV integration.
