Meet our team

Our team have over 200 years of combined experience in helping customers across Northern Ireland and Ireland create better audio visual experience for their venues.

Our History

Starting from small premises in County Tyrone many of the Show Bands would visit to purchase audio equipment ranging from guitars amplifiers drums two microphones’, speakers and mixers. Over the years Rea Sound became the place to be to purchase your audio equipment. The company opened the number of retail outlets across the country with the help of Sean Gallagher who joined with Martin to build the company.

New larger premises in Cookstown came about and the company diversified into touring with some well-known bands, including Boyzone and the Corrs.  We also had the pleasure of looking after the audio needs for the President of the United states during his visit to Ireland.

Following a visit in 1983, to Frankfurt in Germany, Martin and Sean agreed several distribution contracts which included Martin audio and Allen and Heath. We continue to be the oldest distributor of these brands anywhere in the world. Other brands came on board during the 80s and 90s including Nexo and Digico. Working closely with manufacturers has always been our aim, this provides our customers with a quick supply and support as in when they require.

In the year 2000 the company added a visual side to its business. Dealing with manufacturers like Kramer AV, Panasonic, LG, Canon, and many more the company NI provides one of the most reliable complete audio visual solutions in the country.

We are pleased to have worked on some of the large venues across the island including the Cork Opera House, Belfast Mac, Millennium forum, Dublin convention centre, the Adobe headquarters in Maidenhead, JCB in Birmingham and more recently the Armagh Observatory and planetarium.
