Completed Theatre AV Projects
Here is a small selection of contracts we have recently completed, ranging from simple straight forward sound systems to fully digital sound reinforcement systems, lighting, projection and visual contracts.
Theatre at the Mill
Utilising the new Martin Audio WPM array, we were delighted to win this contract to fit out the prestigious venue in Newtownabbey.
The end result is simply stunning, providing great quality sound throughout the auditorium. The Martin Audio WPM system comprising of two hangs, one left and one right of the stage, each cabinet provides a considerable improvement to the original audio system and allows extra headroom, clarity and quality once lacking. Infills allow complete coverage across the front of the stage and the balcony areas. Flexible Subs can be added when required, and simple presets can be recalled from the controller as required for each event. The Alen & Heath d-Live sits at the heart of the control room, providing simple, powerful and flexible control for every show or event. A Surround Sound system was also installed to provide an extra level of audience experience.
The MAC - Belfast
One of the largest venues in Belfast, The Belfast MAC opened in April 2012. With two live theatre spaces, multiple exhibition halls, dance rehearsal and meeting areas this venue is a landmark to the City.
Rea Sound was pleased to be awarded the contract for the complete technical fit-out of the venue comprising Main Stage Audio, Backstage and Foyer Audio, Stage and House Lighting, Facility panels, hardware and loose equipment. Over the years we have continued to work with the MAC winning multiple tenders to add equipment as the demands of events increased.
Cork Opera House
One of the first installtions of the Martin Audio W8LM systems on the island, we were pleased to work closely with the theatre following a visit at PLASA in London. With in 2 months of that visit we were able to complete the project to include a dual hang of W8LM as FOH, Blackline infills and cinema system, monitor system with a complete array of amplifiers and controllers. Still used today after nealry 20 years - a strong and worthwhile investment.
