Completed Education AV Projects
Here is a small selection of contracts we have recently completed, ranging from simple straight forward sound systems to fully digital sound reinforcement systems, lighting, projection and visual contracts.
St Mary’s Grammar School
Our long relationship with St Mary’s in Magherafelt continued this summer with the AV upgrade in the sixth form resource room. This upgrade consisted of a full HD projection system in each side of the room, a Martin audio speaker system, Kramer switching equipment and full installation training and support.
We opted for Epson Laser projectors to provide vivid images for all attending guests, projecting onto 3m wide electric projection screens. To process the images from the computer source we opted for Kramer 4k VP-440 switcher and audio extractor, to enable a seamless connection for the attending guest. They simply plug in their HDMI feed from their laptop and we automatically extract the audio from the cable and sync the audio with the image being projected. Up to 4 devices can be connected and switched between. We utilised the fantastic Martin Audio Adorn series speakers to provide high quality audio coverage throughout the whole room for both spoken word and computer or music playback. Finally we opted for one of our own audio mixer power amps. This provides 350w Class D amplification with 4 mic inputs and 2 aux inputs in a compact 1u design.
Antrim Grammar School
The main School hall, with performance stage required a complete audio upgrade, including control, speakers, amplifiers and microphones. We were delighted to win the contract with the School and provide them with a new system.
At the heart of the system is the versatile Allen & Heath Qu-24 digital console and 24 way digital stagebox. This allows for the console to be used in multiple locations depending on the application and use of the hall. For assemblies and smaller events the sound console can remain on the stage in the master control location. For the larger school productions the console can be located to the rear of the hall and allows the operator to have full sight of the stage and mix the audio accordingly.
Four new Martin Audio Blackline speakers provide great audio coverage and clarity for both speech and music. We also provided new digital radio mics to complement their existing stock, upgrading all the microphones to head set mics. Finally we continue to support all our clients, including Antrim GS with full training and support.
